Every year since 1991, Pro Wrestling Illustrated releases a list of the 500 top professional wrestlers in the world. Dustin Wilson(McHale) in 2022 is listed as number 500. He sets on a journey around the East Coast to face every 500th ranked wrestler from the past 31 years. He's accompanied by his best friend Nelson Bauer(Chris Nelson), who quit wrestling and is wanting to get back into it. Throughout 3 years the two go on a journey interviewing previous 500th ranked wrestlers on what the list means to them. All while facing the realities of being independent performers and sobriety.
